EfD develops a handbook for policy engagement and impact
While researchers are well-trained in conducting research and teaching, few receive guidance on engaging with policymakers to translate research into real-world impact effectively. To address this gap, EfD is developing a practical handbook that provides researchers with tools, strategies, and examples tailored to the Global South's diverse governance and institutional contexts.
The handbook is a collaborative effort authored by a diverse group of EfD researchers from multiple centers and the Global Hub. Its development has been enriched by extensive discussions and feedback, including dedicated sessions at the EfD Annual Meeting in Nairobi and a focused “writeshop” in Kenya in November 2024. The handbook will be published and launched in 2025, serving as a key resource to strengthen policy engagement across the EfD network and beyond.
