EfD Ghana builds strategic capacity for researchers

Body

In the dynamic landscape of academic research, connecting with experienced researchers and global networks can profoundly improve the career trajectories of postgraduate students and early-career researchers. EfD Ghana designed a series of capacity-building workshops in 2024 to prepare early career researchers to better compete in international research environments.

The participants engaged with seasoned researchers, gaining insights beyond traditional academic training. The training programs equipped participants with practical tools, from advanced technical skills like bio-economic modeling to practical abilities in grant writing and policy brief development.

The workshops offered insights delivered by experienced researchers like Wisdom Akpalu, Kwami Adanu, and Francis Atsu. Participants from universities, including the University of Ghana, the University of Cape Coast, the Ghana Institute of Management and Public Administration, and the University of Environment and Sustainable Development, enthusiastically engaged in these learning opportunities.

The workshops were well-attended and generated overwhelmingly positive feedback from participants who appreciated the practical, actionable knowledge shared.
