Watch a live stream of the world’s leading climate researchers discussing future paths for climate research

The IPCC 5th Assessment Report is coming to a close. We have gathered some of the best climate researchers to take stock of the research needs after the assessment report and explore new areas in political economy and behavioural economics.

From Friday 17 October 2014 at 09:00 (GMT+1) to Saturday 18 October 2014 at 14:30 (GMT+1) EfD Initiative will live stream this event on 'Future Paths for Climate Research'.

What is the outlook for the diffusion of new technology and can we expect a global climate treaty anytime soon?
With a mixture of perspectives from developing and OECD countries we hope to shed light on some of these issues in order to help solve the global climate crisis.

How do we assess the damages from climate change? What is the road to New Technologies? What explains the barriers to action: Behavioural factors? Political economy? Inequity? Asymmetries?

Should we reform the IPCC?

By invitation only. However, the seminars will be sent live at the EfD website: www.efdinitiative.org.

Additional information on the programme can be accessed below.
