Ssewankambo, Gyaviira

Gyaviira is an engineer with broad expertise in research, water and environment, sustainable agriculture, clean energy and climate change. He is an enthusiastic environmentalist, with a passion for driving both public and private sectors towards achieving their full potential through optimizing their operations in environmentally friendly and sustainable ways. He holds a Master’s Degree in Agricultural Engineering, with key speciality in Environmental Engineering from Makerere University, and a Bachelor’s Degree in Agricultural Engineering from the same institution.

He has gained valuable and transferable skills in relationship building, strategic planning, project management, data analytics, and effective communication. He has conducted extensive research works in the field of water and environment, and authored several research papers, mainly on Lake Victoria ecosystem and pollution in online peer reviewed academic journals including Springer. He is currently a Junior Research Fellow and Volunteering Project Manager at the EfD-Mak Centre.
