Uganda’s policymakers implored to address forest loss, plastic and water pollution

Policymakers in Uganda were urged to take measures to mitigate environmental degradation or else, risk facing serious consequences. The appeal was made during the opening of the 16th EfD Annual meeting.

Unique study on Covid-19 will be presented at the Annual Meeting

An extensive study on Covid-19 will be presented in two sessions at EfD’s Annual Meeting. The first session will be open to all and will give an overview of the data collected and the preliminary findings. It is a great amount of data that will be available for all researchers within the EfD network. The second is a closed session, aimed at forming research groups for writing reports.

Comprehensive program at EfD's Annual Meeting

After two years of virtual events, the EfD's Annual Meeting is now finally back to meeting in person. It will be held in Uganda on September 22–26, 2022, and it offers a very rich program.

EfD's Annual Meeting is the largest and most exciting conference in the Global South on the application of environmental and resource economics. Now, that it's back to being a live event, there will be unique opportunities for networking across the borders, finding new opportunities for collaborations, and exchange of knowledge and experiences.

Conference papers accepted, proposals move to third stage assessment

After a rigorous selection process, the Environment for Development Initiative (EfD) Research Committee has announced the accepted conference papers and proposals moving to the third stage of assessment.
The conference papers will be presented in parallel sessions at the forthcoming Annual Meeting on September 22-26, in Kampala, Uganda.
