Vision

To carry out in-depth economic research and analysis on the interlocking issues of climate change, energy security, environmental protection, gender and food security confronting India. The broad agenda behind the research is to contribute to policy-making through improved information and hard evidence.

Vision

The vision of REPRC-EfD Nigeria is to be a key research and policy advocacy center in Sub-Saharan Africa with a major focus on Nigeria; training students that will act as change agents in Nigeria and the regional environment sector; implementing cutting-edge research that will have both local and global impact; while providing evidence-based input into policy formulation and advocacy towards solving the myriads of environmental and economic development problems in Nigeria and the region.

Vision

Our vision is to be a leading policy research center on the economics of climate and environment, contributing to Ethiopia’s sustainable and climate-resilient development.

Sweden

Vision

Research to provide empirical and theoretical evidence for promoting sustainable environmental policy through global and local studies in Sweden and various developing countries. A particular focus is on vulnerable groups and poverty alleviation, as well as emphasizing the gender perspective. Teaching to help with capacity-building throughout the EfD network.

China

Vision

To improve the well-being of disadvantaged groups in developing countries by mitigating excessive pollution and natural resource depletion, and to promote sustainable use of natural resources and ecosystem services by means of environmental policy instruments. This objective will be actively pursued with vibrant research, policy informing, and capacity-building activities.

Colombia

Vision

The vision of REES is to be recognized as one of the main research centers in Colombia that will be aligned with national and international needs on sustainable development and environment, being a mentoring group for:

a) Learning in environmental and applied economics of bachelor, master, and Ph.D. students.

b) Stimulating research ideas that become concrete, solid, and robust policy-relevant research projects.

South Africa

The Environmental Policy Research Unit (EPRU) works to enhance policy-making in the field of environmental and natural resource economics and support sustainable development and poverty reduction in South Africa and Southern Africa.

Based at the School of Economics at the University of Cape Town, South Africa, and a regional center for EfD, EPRU is a leading institution in the field of resource economics in the Global South.

Our vision is to support poverty alleviation and sustainable development in the Global South through increased use of Environmental Economics in the policy-making processes.
