The Ph.D. student will work on the project “Climate off-farm rippled impacts on wellbeing and behavioral resilience” funded by the Swedish Research Council. Farm-level climate change impacts ripple off-farm to affect non-farming individuals whose well-being depends on harvests.

The Sustainable Forest Transitions (SFT) Project is recruiting one full-time PhD student at the Global Development Institute (University of Manchester) from September 2024 to work on one of two themes:
Theme 1: Evaluating social and environmental outcomes of reforestation drivers using large-scale publicly available social and environmental datasets.

Professional experience:
The successful candidate must have demonstrable experience in Economics of Aquatic Resources, Aquaculture and/or Fisheries Economics, supported by high quality and proven productivity in research.
