Ekbom, Anders

Anders Ekbom is currently the interim Director of EfD's Global Hub. He has worked with the environment, economics, and development in low-income countries during the last 35 years, and is program leader of the Inclusive Green Economy in Practice program that aims to strengthen capacity for green economy among policy actors. He is based at the EfD Global Hub at the School of Business, Economics and Law, University of Gothenburg, Sweden.  Recently, he was the program leader for an EU-funded Erasmus+ program with nine universities in Europe and Asia. He has a Ph.D. in economics (specialization: environmental economics) from the University of Gothenburg and has worked as an environmental economist in the World Bank’s Africa department. He has, among others, taught at the Ph. D. and master's levels on research-policy interaction and strategic sustainability assessment.
