Maniriho, Aristide

Dr. Aristide Maniriho is a Lecturer within the School of Economics at the University of Rwanda and a Research Fellow at the Centre for Research in Environmental Economics, Sustainability and Policy (CREESP), hosting the the Environment for Development (EfD) initiative in Rwanda. His scholarly agenda is primarily situated at the intersection of agricultural economics and rural development, with a specialized focus on farm productivity, technical efficiency, and the determinants of sustainable technology adoption. Furthermore, his research extends into environmental and natural resource economics, investigating climate change adaptation, environmental risk management, and the transition toward sustainable energy systems. Dr. Maniriho’s broader contributions also encompass development and food economics, including welfare analysis, internal migration, women's empowerment, and the microeconomics of food security and nutrition. This is complemented by secondary interests in international economic integration and university pedagogy. Methodologically, his work is grounded in the rigorous application of advanced econometric techniques to evaluate complex socio-economic phenomena.
