University of Rwanda

EfD Rwanda is one of the centers in the EfD initiative. It is an environmental economics research network that works with local and international public and private institutions to influence environmental policy through high-quality, policy-relevant research, capacity development, and strategic policy engagement.

EfD Rwanda is hosted by the Center for Research in Environmental Economics, Sustainability and Policy (CREESP) in the College of Business and Economics (CBE) at the University of Rwanda.

EfD Rwanda's research focus areas include:

• Environmental policy and resource economics
• Clean energy transition and sustainable development
• Climate finance and sustainable environmental quality
• Sustainable natural resource use for sustainable human health
• Climate change and sustainable development

These align closely with national priorities such as sustainable agriculture, resilient environment, food security, and climate resilience, while supporting broader EfD themes.
