Dr. Jules Ngango is a Rwandan development economist with a strong interdisciplinary background in agricultural, environmental, and energy economics. He is a Lecturer in the Department of Economics, School of Economics at the University of Rwanda and a Research Fellow at the Centre for Research in Environmental Economics, Sustainability and Policy (CREESP), hosting the Environment for Development (EfD) initiative in Rwanda. Holds a PhD in Agricultural Economics and has a proven record of research in agricultural markets, consumer behavior, and value chain development. His research integrates agricultural development, land tenure security, environmental peacebuilding, and gendered resource governance, emphasizing how secure and equitable land and natural resource systems contribute to inclusive development and local peace. Currently serving as Leader of the Transversal Aspects Result under the UR–ARES Institutional Support Program (University of Rwanda and Académie de Recherche et d’Enseignement Supérieur, Belgium), coordinating cross-cutting institutional research and capacity-building initiatives on gender, governance, climate resilience, and sustainability. |
