Chiebonam, Justina Ayogu
Dr. Chiebonam Justina Ayogu is a distinguished academic, researcher, and development practitioner specialising in forest resource governance, food and agriculture sociology, climate resilience, and rural development at the Resource and Environmental Policy Research Centre (REPRC)- EfD Nigeria. She earned her PhD in Sociology from the University of Canterbury, Christchurch, New Zealand, where she developed advanced competencies in interdisciplinary research methodologies, participatory rural analysis, and community-based adaptation strategies for environmental and natural resource management.
Research Interest
As a Lecturer and Researcher at the University of Nigeria, Nsukka, Dr. Ayogu has made notable contributions to scholarship in agricultural extension, gender and development, forest governance, and climate change adaptation, with over 18 scholarly publications in prominent journals and book chapters. Her work has provided evidence-based insights into food security dynamics, women’s empowerment in agriculture, and sustainable rural livelihoods, positioning her as a thought leader in rural sociology and agricultural extension.
