Adanu, Dziwornu Kwami
Dr. Dziwornu Kwami Adanu is an Associate Professor of Economics at the Ghana Institute of Management and Public Administration with over two decades of experience in teaching, research, academic leadership, and policy consultancy. He holds a Ph.D. in Natural Resource and Agricultural Economics from Michigan State University, an M.A. in Economics from University of Waterloo, and a First Class Honours B.A. in Economics from University of Ghana. He has served in many strategic academic and administrative positions, including Inaugural Head of the Department of Economics at GIMPA, where he led the development of pioneering postgraduate programmes in financial economics, energy economics, economic policy, and MPhil Economics. He has also served on major institutional committees, including the GIMPA Academic Board, Statutes Review Committee, and Governing Board Appointments and Promotions Committee.
His research focuses on development and environmental economics, sustainable consumption, economic institutions, and resource-based conflicts. He has published extensively in reputable international journals on issues such as environmental policy, energy economics, public finance, plastic waste management, climate-related behaviour, and institutional development in Africa.
