This week the Economics Department at Rhodes University celebrated the launch of a Research Focus Area in Resource Economics, having won substantial funding from the university over a three-year period.
Headed up by Profs Gavin Fraser and Jen Snowball, the group will focus its efforts on natural resource management problems of the Eastern Cape. EPRU Research Fellow Dr Jane Turpie was invited to give the guest lecturer at the launch and also spent a couple of hours as guest lecturer for the economics honours class.
