Chilean EfD center is organizing Workshop on Environmental and Natural Resource Economics and Short Course to Policy Makers

Research Nucleus in Environmental and Natural Resource Economics at the University of Concepción is organizing the Fifth Workshop on Environmental and Natural Resource Economics,  5th and 6th October 2017, and the Fourth Short course to policy makers on “Compliance and Enforcement of Environmental Policy and Management of Natural Resources”, 4th October 2017. It will take place at Termas de Catillo, Maule Region in Chile.

The purpose of this course and workshop has been to constitute a meeting point for sharing knowledge, academic thought and debate among national investigators that conduct research on the topics of the Nucleus and to share the progress made in studies carried out by the researchers associated to the Nucleus with officials of the relevant regulatory agencies. The workshop also allows to present the research carried out by undergraduate and graduate students to the regulatory agencies and other State organisms interested in the topics of the Nucleus.

Keynote lectures lectures will be by Jo Albers, who is the University of Wyoming's Knobloch Wyoming Excellence Chair in Conservation Economics and Finance and a professor in the Haub School of Environment and Natural Resources and the Department of Economics and Finance in the College of Business, and Subhrendu K. Pattanayak,  who is Professor of Public Policy and Environment at Stanford School of Public Policy & Nicholas School of the Environment at Duke University.
