The Department of Forest Economics is engaged in research and education in circular bioeconomy with focus on business administration, natural resource economics, economics, and policy, with a particular focus on the sustainable development of forest-related natural resources. The Department contributes to education at the Faculty of Forest Sciences, and is responsible for Bachelor and Master degree programs as well as offering Ph.D. education in business administration and economics. The Department is located at two campuses: Ultuna (Uppsala) and Umeå.

Applications are invited for the post of Associate Professor in Environmental and Resource Economics. The appointee will contribute to applied economics research and teaching, including in the broad areas of Environmental and Resource Economics with associated responsibilities relating to administration and outreach.  The ability to engage with on-going research projects and the potential to attract research funding are important.

The Senior Researcher is expected to lead academic activities and other intellectual engagement, including empirical research, webinars, and policy dialogue. In addition, the Senior Researcher will participate in other activities as may be assigned by the Head of Research or members of the Management Group, such as review of proposals for NAI´s scholarship programs, plan and organize seminars & conferences, facilitate networking, inform Nordic decision-makers, brief ambassadors, dissemination of research findings and media engagements.
