For the most part, big tech companies have committed to achieving zero emissions from their own activities. But it is their work in digitalization, artificial intelligence and information systems that could be potential game-changers in creating the smarter, more flexible energy systems needed to get to net-zero emissions.
Join the GBSN for Energy Transition Impact Community on Tuesday, 27 June at 10:00am EST/16:00 CEST their second event, Powering the Energy Transition: A Tale of Two Hemispheres Part II: Repurposing Legacy Assets, as we convene a multi-part virtual series to explore key elements of the energy transition journey, through the lens of the global north and global south.
Hear from leaders from academia and industry to explore the challenges and benefits of repurposing legacy fossil fuel infrastructures. Join us as we dive deeper into how the actions of various stakeholders, specifically financial institutions, companies and governments, can find a path to a more orderly transition.
Sessions will bridge attention to common goals with deep dives into critical nuances that differentiate the energy transition stories unfolding in different parts of the globe.
