Summary: The National Institute of Economic Research publishes an annual report on environmental economics. This year’s report examines how the costs and benefits of Sweden’s long-term climate policy targets for 2040 and 2045 are influenced by the EU’s future climate policy choices. It also evaluates the impact of various complementary measures that could be used as alternatives to domestic emission reductions in achieving the national targets.
