About the Conference:

The College of Economics, Law, and Government at the University of Economics Ho Chi Minh City is pleased to announce the International Conference on "Resilience, Sustainability and Digital Transformation in a Changing World: Perspectives from Southeast Asia". The world economy in 2025 is facing turbulence, with uncertainties stemming from geopolitical shifts, economic instability, and disruptions in global trade. These challenges underscore the urgent need for sustainable policies and resilient governance frameworks, particularly in Southeast Asia—a region experiencing both rapid digital transformation and increasing environmental pressure.

This conference aims to bring together scholars, policymakers, and practitioners to explore technology-based and sustainable solutions to pressing economic, legal, and governance challenges in the region. The conference will serve as a platform for the exchange of ideas on the role of sustainability and digital transformation in fostering economic development, environmental protection, and social inclusion in the rapidly changing global and regional context.

Submission Guidelines:

Submissions are open via http://conference.ueh.edu.vn/conference/elg2025 and will follow a two- stage process: abstract and full paper submission. We encourage the submission of unpublished working papers or early drafts. For co-authored works, please specify the presenting author. All submissions will be evaluated by the scientific committee for acceptance into the conference program.

Publication

Accepted abstracts will be published in the Conference Handbook with an ISBN identification. In addition to this, selected papers will be given the opportunity to be published in peer-reviewed academic journals or edited books as follows.

  1. Journal of Asian Business and Economic Studies (JABES – Scopus Q1) and Environment and Development Economics (EDE – SSCI) have expressed interest in receiving manuscripts from the conference.
  2. A special issue of the International Journal of Empirical Economics (SWPC-IJEE), listed in Scopus, which focuses on topics related to environment, law, and economics.
  3. An edited book as part of the Frontiers in South and Southeast Asian Development Research series, published by Springer.
  4. A handbook on Efficiency, Productivity and Growth in Vietnam or Efficiency, Productivity and Growth in Southeast Asia, published by Springer, that features selected contributions from the conference.

Authors of selected papers will be invited to submit their full manuscripts for review by the respective journals.

Moreover, to encourage and acknowledge outstanding research, the CELG Best Paper Award of 200 USD will be presented to the author(s) of the best research paper presented at the conference.
