7th World Congress of Environmental and Resource Economists (WCERE 2026)

The World Council of Environmental and Resource Economists Associations (WCEREA) is pleased to announce that the 7th World Congress of Environmental and Resource Economists (WCERE 2026) will take place on 29 June - 03 July 2026. The Congress will be held in person in Carcavelos Campus in the city of Lisbon, Portugal, while including some hybrid events as part of the programme. 

The conference is hosted by the Nova School of Business and Economics (Nova SBE).

Registration is now open!

The registration will be organised as a two-step process, prioritising presenters of accepted papers.

In-person registrations for presenters of accepted papers and for panelists in Science-Policy-Business Sessions:

• Opening: 16 March 2026
• Deadline: 15 April 2026 - deadline by which presenting authors must be registered for inclusion in the programme.

In-person and online registrations for all other participants:

• Opening: 30 March 2026
• Deadline: 10 June 2026 - Please note that registrations for in-person participation may close earlier. Registrations will close when the maximum capacity is reached. Registration is on a first come, first served basis.

All presenters must attend the conference in person as remote presentation is not foreseen. Each accepted paper is presented by one person only.
