Nhan, Le Thanh

Le Thanh Nhan is a lecturer at the School of Economics, University of Economics Ho Chi Minh City and a research fellow at the Economy & Environment Partnership for Southeast Asia (EEPSEA). He holds a Master of Arts in Economics from the University of Missouri - Columbia and a Master of Development Economics from the International Institute of Social Studies, Erasmus University of Rotterdam. He is a Ph.D. Candidate at Ho Chi Minh City University of Economics.

Research Interest

His research interests are applied economics of consumer behavior and environmental and urban management.

Some of the research projects he participated in include

  • Urban flooding adaptation in Ho Chi Minh City: Adaptive capacity, investment behaviors and values
  • An interdisciplinary approach to understanding past, present and future flood risk in Vietnam
  • Water management for Dong Nai basin
  • Vietnam country environmental analysis
  • Climate adaptation study on the economics of adaptation in the agriculture sector
  • The ecological services, institutions and dynamics of mangrove forests in the south Viet Nam
  • Economic valuation of the mangrove ecosystem in Ben Tre Province
