Inkinen, Ville

Ville Inkinen is a Postdoctoral Fellow at the Department of Environmental Science at Aarhus University, Denmark. He received his PhD in Economics from the University of Gothenburg in 2023 and has held a postdoctoral position at the University of Exeter. Before his doctoral education, he worked at the Finnish Ministry of the Environment advising on EU environmental policy and law.

Ville's research encompasses a wide range of topics in environmental policy, including land use, tropical forest conservation, biodiversity, and offsetting mechanisms. His work combines quasi-experimental research designs and machine learning methods with Earth observation data.
