Frankenberg, Vera

Vera Frankenberg holds an M.Sc. in International Administration and Global Governance from the University of Gothenburg and a B.Sc. in Environmental Economics from the Gothenburg School of Business, Economics and Law.

She is currently a Research Assistant at EfD Gothenburg, where she contributes to the TRACE AI research project. The TRACE AI research project is a collaboration between the University of Gothenburg, Chalmers University of Technology, Stockholm University, RISE Research Institutes of Sweden, and the International Chemical Secretariat. The project explores how artificial intelligence can support a sustainable and chemically safe circular economy by improving access to reliable information on hazardous chemicals.

Vera is also working as a research assistant in the research project "Global Governance Innovation for Chemical Safety in Circular Value Chains", a collaboration between Lunds University, University of Gothenburg, International Pollutants Elimination Network and Nexus3 Foundation. This project addresses governance gaps in global value chains that allow hazardous chemicals to shift risks across borders, focusing on developing innovative approaches to ensure chemical safety in circular systems.

Her research interests include global governance, sustainable development, environmental policy and environmental economics
