Monisankar Bishnu is an associate professor in the Economics and Planning unit, Indian Statistical Institute (ISI), Delhi. His research interests are in the areas of public finance, macroeconomics, inter-generational issues and the macro aspects of environmental economics. Prior to ISI, he was a Senior Lecturer in the Economics Department of the Australian National University (ANU). He received his Ph. D. from Iowa State University (ISU) in 2010 and has taught at ANU and ISU. Presently, he is also a Visiting Fellow at the Research School of Economics, ANU.
