Adu Gyekye, Felix
Felix Adu Gyekye is the Research Officer at the EfD Global Hub. He holds a Master’s degree in Economics from the University of Gothenburg (2025), where his thesis examined the impacts of cash transfer programs on household energy choices in Ghana, and a Master’s degree in Economic Policy from the Ghana Institute of Management and Public Administration (2020).
His research interests lie at the intersection of environmental, energy, and development economics. Using microeconometric methods and causal inference, he studies how households and firms in Sub-Saharan Africa respond to policy incentives and climate-related risks, with a focus on welfare, inequality, and distributional effects.
At EfD, Felix supports collaborative research through data collection and econometric analysis, coordination of academic workshops, and research dissemination. Prior to joining EfD, he worked as a Research Assistant at the Institute of Nature and Environmental Conservation (INEC) in Ghana, where he analyzed household- and farm-level data to evaluate climate-smart agricultural practices and contributed to survey design, field coordination, and policy-relevant impact evaluations.
