Job description
- Work with senior researcher (Allen Blackman) on microeconomic analysis of environmental, natural resource, and climate change issues in Latin America and the Caribbean
- Position begins spring-early summer 2024
- One-year term with possibility of extension for a second year
- Full-time (~40 hours per week)
Criteria
· Required
o Master’s degree in environmental economics or related field
o Significant coursework and experience in econometrics
o Significant experience with Stata
o Fluent in English and Spanish
o Attention to detail
o Strong written and oral communication skills
o Ability to work independently
o Availability to start spring-early summer 2024
o Citizen of one of IADB’s 48 member countries
o No family members currently working at IADB or IDBInvest
· Helpful
o Experience working as a research assistant
o Portuguese language skills
o Experience with R, Python, ArcGIS, and QGIS
