Postdoctoral research scholar, gender issues

Essential Job Duties

The post-doc will contribute to: (1) building the pipeline and supporting the success of women environmental economists in the Global South, (2) building capacity and increasing attention to gender analysis in environment and development economics including in EfD centers and their home institutions, and (3) ensuring consistent and comprehensive attention to gender in reports on sustainability transitions produced by EfD collaboratives and centers.

Duties and Responsibilities
i) Continue ongoing gender discussions and data collection efforts across the EfD Centers in the Global South.
 ii) Conduct research and analytical work that will serve as a basis for advising the Global Hub on gender issues, and serve as an equal opportunity resource person for the Global Hub. 
iii) Support WinEED’s leadership with execution of strategies for building the pipeline and supporting the success of women environmental economists in the Global South.  
iv) Review draft reports on sustainability transitions produced by EfD collaboratives and centers, including cross-walking them with the gender report and identifying opportunities to expand and ensure consistency in gender analysis.

Other Work/Responsibilities

Produce scholarly works within the EfD space, resulting in journal submissions and publications

Requirements and Preferences

 

Work Schedule Monday to Friday - 8:00am - 5:00pm

Expertise in gender analysis, and training/ skills relevant to promoting the professional development of women in economics 

 

Preferred Years Experience, Skills, Training, Education

Experience with gender and environment in the global south.
