Peprah, Dorcas

Dorcas Asaah Peprah is a PhD student in Development Economics at the University of Ghana. She is passionate about advancing research that enhances natural resource management while promoting sustainable economic development. Currently, she is investigating the impact of self-efficacy on non-compliance of fisheries regulations among artisanal fishermen in Ghana. She has served as research assistant on several projects, some of which have received funding from respected institutions such as Environment for Development (EfD), Ministry of Environmental, Science, Technology, and Innovation (MESTI, Ghana), International Growth Centre (IGC) and International Development Research Centre (IDRC). Her role in these initiatives has not only enriched her experiential learning but played a vital role in advancing her career. Driven by a desire to effect positive change, Dorcas Peprah is keen on translating her research findings into actionable policies at both local and national levels.
