The objective of the Summer School is to present Choice
Experiments as a tool for trade-off assessment to
participants from Sub-Saharan Africa. It offers a unique
opportunity for early-career researchers to learn from and
interact with experts and to present their own work.
Topics
• Theoretical foundations of consumer theory
• Design of Choice Experiments with a specific reference to adaptation to climate change
• State-of-the-art models for the econometric analysis of discrete choice data
• Interpretation of results with respect
to policymaking

The Summer School will take place in Cape Town, South Africa, and will be hosted by the School of Economics at the University of Cape Town.
