Mulwa, Richard

Richard Mulwa is Professor of Environmental Economics at the University of Nairobi and a Senior Research Fellow at the Environment for Development-Kenya (EfD-K) based at the Department of Economics and Development Studies, University of Nairobi. He is currently leading research on climate change, energy, and water economics and policy; ocean accounting; sustainable consumption and production; and economic modelling. Richard is a member of the African Growth and Development Policy (AGRODEP) Modelling Consortium, African Association of Environmental and Resource Economists (EFAERE), European Association of Environmental and Resource Economists (EAERE), Climate Strategies, Liebig Centre for Agroecology and Climate Impact Research, and is the Secretary General of African Society of Ecological Economists (ASEE). He holds a PhD from the Justus-Liebig University (JLU), Giessen, Germany and has been involved in many research projects in his areas of interest. He has also published widely in diverse journals and is a reviewer in many reputable journals.
