Prof. Dayuan Hu is a Sinar Mas Chair Professor of Economics at NSD, Peking University. He received his Ph.D. from the University of Kentucky in 1995, and he was awarded the Sun Yat-sen Doctoral Dissertation Award of the University of Kentucky in 1994.

Prof. Hu's main teaching and research areas include environmental and resource economics, regional economics, applied econometrics, business statistics, and managerial economics. In his teaching practice, Professor Hu has devoted himself to collecting and using a large number of Chinese and foreign examples to make students understand that abstract theories originally come from vivid and rich real life. Prof. Hu was awarded the "Antai" Scholarship of Excellent Teaching at Peking University in 2000.

He has published on development, environmental resources, regional disparities, and human capital issues in high-level international and domestic academic journals, such as "Land Economics", "Environmental and Resource Economics", and "Economic Letters", etc.
