Mr. Ngasamiaku is an Assistant Lecturer, Department of Economics of the University of Dar es Salaam where he has taught Economic Theory (microeconomics and macroeconomics), public sector economics and Mathematics for economists for undergraduate students. Apart from teaching, he also participates in various research and consulting works in his field of expertise. Before joining the Department of Economics, Ngasamiaku worked as a consultant at the World Bank Tanzania Country Office as an Assistant Research Analyst where he was involved in data management (collection, collating and analyzing) in support of technical studies and various policy initiatives within the Poverty Reduction and Economic Management (PREM) Unit such as preparation of public expenditure reviews – the external evaluation component both Mainland Tanzania and Zanzibar, preparation of Poverty Reduction Support Credit (PRSC1). He is currently a doctorate candidate at the University of Dar es Salaam, under the Collaborative PhD Programme (CPP) for Africa. He participated the CPP Joint Facility for Electives in Nairobi, Kenya where he has taken Public Sector Economics and Environment and Natural Resource Economics as his fields of specialization.
