María Angélica Naranjo
Maria Naranjo is the Dissemination Officer and a junior research fellow at the Environment for Development Center for Central America. After finishing her bachelors studies in the School of Economics at the University of Costa Rica, she continued her masters studies at Wageningen University, financed by The Netherlands Organization for International Cooperation in Higher Education. She completed her masters thesis in the Environmental Economics and Natural Resources Group, and in cooperation with INBio and ACCVC-MINAE she presented a study of The Contribution of Protected Nature Areas towards Socio Economic Development in Costa Rica, applied in the southern communities of Braulio Carrillo National Park. She has participated in several research projects including consulting services for Regulatory Authority of Public Services (ARESEP) and the University of Costa Rica.
