During EfD's seventh annual meeting, spring began to warm the Western Cape of South Africa creating a fertile environment for over 70 delegates to present fresh research findings and exchange knowledge and techniques.
So what makes environmental economists and EfD stakeholders tick? Accounting for ecosystem services, marine conservation trade-offs and development projects which reduce carbon emissions, just to name a few.
Delegates participated in four days of plenary and parallel sessions from 24 to 27 October 2013 at Monkey Valley Resort, punctuated by excursions to the Western Cape's attractions. EfD representatives and partner organisations strengthened the network by connecting with key contacts, generating debate and building on research skills.
