EfD Tanzania research fellows nominated to attend the GDSA workshop on Natural Capital Accounting

Dr. Byela Tibesigwa and Prof. Kassim Kulindwa were nominated by , the Tanzania Focal Point for the Gaborone Declaration for Sustainability in Africa (GDSA), Mr. Geofrey Bakanga based at the Vice President’s office to represent Tanzania’s Natural Capital Accounting (NCA) efforts at the GDSA workshop in Nairobi, held from June 21-23 2016.

This workshop was co-organized by the GDSA, in partnership with World Bank WAVES Program and Conservation International. The purpose of the workshop was to provide tailored feedback to workshop attendees as it relates to their specific NCA needs, facilitate learning exchanges and interactive activities thus to ensure a common language around NCA, and to explore avenues for building country programs on NCA in the form of an African-led Community of Practice.
