Jane Mariara, Center director of EfD Kenya, has been appointed as Interim Executive Director of PEP (Partnership for Economic Policy). Prof. Mariara has been involved with PEP for many years and in a variety of roles, from researcher to resource person to deputy director, and most recently as member of the PMMA program committee.
Since there are some overlapping ambitions and research themes between PEP and the EfD initiative, Professor Mariara believes that there will be scope for networking and collaborations between the two organizations.
“My ambition in this new position is to contribute to the growth of PEP in her mission towards policies for poverty alleviation, growth and sustainable development of low and middle income countries”, says Mariara. The EfD initiative congratulate Jane Mariara on her appointment.
