Please find below the latest publications and news from the Environment for Development initiative. At the beginning of November we also convened the third annual meeting in Naivasha, Kenya. At the meeting we saw great examples of the research and policy impact that the centers perform. We also discussed many exciting research proposals for the future. During November the EfD programme has been evaluated and we have agreed with Sida on a one year extending pending the negotiations on a long-term agreement. It consists of centers in Central America, China, Ethiopia, Kenya, South Africa, and Tanzania, in partnership with the Environmental Economics Unit at the University of Gothenburg in Sweden and Resources for the Future in Washington, DC. Financial support is provided by the Swedish International Development Cooperation Agency (Sida). |
