EfD Newsletter 2012-06-01

Welcome to the wealth of EfD activities carried out during the month of May. Note that some of the peer reviewed articles below actually are available in full versions if you follow the links. Marine parks and fishery policy is definitely the hottest EfD trend at the moment. Last month’s seminars at the European parliament are matched by an expert policy meeting in Tanzania, presentation at a line fishing conference and a climate change and marine protected area conference, both in South Africa. It is therefore very timely that an EfD collaborative research project on marine protected areas have just been launched in Costa Rica to cover also Tanzania and South Africa. South African co-funding for this theme provides hopes that thematic collaborations is an efficient approach to crowd in additional funding.
