The EfDT has created a good internal and external links in the region

The center works closely with University of Dar es salaam http://www.udsm.ac.tz/, the Department of Economics and other government organs. The Department of Economics that host EfDT has initiated a plan to transform itself into a school and will establish a number of units. In that plan, EfDTanzania is one of envisaged units. The center also collaborates with the government Departments, Agencies and other organs and work closely on the issues related to environment and poverty. Currently the EfDT is working jointly with the Prime Minister’s Office – Environment division, Tanzania Forest Group Conservation http://www.tfcg.org/ and the Institute of Resource Assessment (IRA) http://www.ira.udsm.ac.tz/of the University of Dar es Salaam for the issue of REDD. Also the Center has been working with Ministry of Natural resources and Tourismhttp://www.mnrt.go.tz/ ,The National Environment Management Council (NEMC) http://www.nemctan.org/ and Ministry of water http://www.maji.go.tz/
