- 2010-01-29 Green accounting puts price on Ethiopian soil erosion and deforestation Ethiopia loses large amounts of money due to deforestation and soil erosion. Recent research shows in monetary terms the value of the country’s natural resources and the costs of soil degradation. It also reveals that official government reports greatly underestimate the contribution of forests and soil resources to the national economy. A way for decision makers to address the problems is to adopt natural resource accounting.

- 2009-11-02 | ethiopia | Climate change Climate change lecture leading to the Copenhagen Summit A public lecture on climate change given by Professor Thomas Sterner, organized by EfD in Ethiopia, has been attended by His Excellency Dr Aberra Deressa, State Minister of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development (MoARD) and Chairman of the National Climate Change Forum of Ethiopia on the 2nd November 2009. The lecture was attended by 45 members from federal and regional governmental offices, non-governmental organizations, donors and embassies.

- 2009-09-08 "Groundbreaking research from EfD in Ethiopia" During a half day workshop organized by EEPFE/EDRI (EfD in Ethiopia) and the Forum for Environment, Ato Alemnew Getnet, member of the Natural Resources & Environmental Protection Standing Committee of the House of Representative of Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia said: "Thank you and very well done to EEPFE/EDRI for the groundbreaking research you have conducted towards accounting of natural resources in Ethiopia" . He also added "the efforts of EEPFE and Forum for Environment in publicizing this issue by organizing this workshop, should be praised and encouraged".
